IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING
I take a lot of pride in my work, and as an artist, I have an urge to show off the beautiful imagery I create with photography. It shows that I am an active photographer, and that I keep my work updated. It is very important for me to have the ability to use those photos online and in print. Some people are not cool with that, which is understandable. If you think this will be a problem for you or your partner, please don’t contact me. It’s not all about the money for me. I LOVE showing the world the photos I take. I submit weddings to different wedding blogs for more exposure, and my business has grown thanks to that. If you take pride in the work you put into your wedding, and want it to be an inspiration for others, I’d love to work with you. Think about it, would you hire me if I had no photos to show you? Click on the “raves” link on the menu to see where I’ve been featured.
MY STYLE
I try to be as invisible as I can while still getting great shots from different angles. I love photographing the couple, and looking for intimate and special moments of just you two. The only time I give you direction on how to pose is during the formal portraits. During the ceremony and reception, I’ll just photograph your wedding day as it unravels. I love shooting the little details that make your wedding “you.” If you have a special photo you want, let me know ahead of time; I’ll make it happen.
ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS
Having an engagement session let’s you practice loosening up so you can be yourself around your photographer. In my experience, there’s no better preparation for your wedding day better than working with your photographer at an engagement session. Most important, an engagement session is an expression of your personality. Choose a location that tells something about the two of you. First dates, proposals, favorite hang outs, all of these can make great spots for the engagement shoot. Maybe do it at the local fairground. Or do it at the movie theater. Or at the subway. Do you want to ride the bike along your favorite neighborhood? There are endless possibilities. I will travel up to 2 hours roundtrip for an engagement session. Any time over is charged at $45 per hour.
THE WEDDING DAY
Don’t forget to bring your wedding invitation! I’d love to photograph it. Please turn in the payment when I start. I don’t want you worrying about payments at the end of the night. I want you having fun in the dance floor! If we are doing getting ready photos, remember to tidy up the bridal room. During the ceremony, try not to face away from my camera. Try to stand in an angle so that I can still photograph your profile. This is for my brides: Be aware of the camera. In what sense? Try not to talk too much, or you’ll have weird expressions in your photos. When you choose a location to shoot the portrait session (formal photos), I suggest places with visual interest, like a park, or even a city. Next to a lake isn’t always the best idea.
This is what I want for you in your wedding: Relaxation. Happiness. Love. Lots of affection. Togetherness. Fun. Most importantly, be yourself! It is your day, and it will be special no matter what. Don’t stress about the little things. It doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to be cherished.
AFTER THE WEDDING
I don’t believe in waiting 6 months to receive your photos. I think 1 week sounds about right. When you receive your CD after the wedding, choose the photos you want me to edit, send me a list with their names (last 4 numbers is ok), and I will get started on them right away. The proofs you will receive come straight out of the camera, without any retouching. I erase any really dark, bright, and blurry ones. The proofs don’t have logos on them, so you can make prints out of those too. I do take my time editing the photos, because I want YOU to absolutely love them and love your wedding even more. Then I’ll send the retouched photos on a CD to your mailing address. The album can take a couple of weeks to be finished, so be patient. How to send me your list instructions.

I AM able to meet with you before you book me. I can show you what the albums look and feel like, what the metallic prints look like, and you can get to know me better. However, I ask that the client comes to Germantown, MD to meet. This helps me keep my prices low.
Do you have any questions not covered here? contact me, I’ll answer your question to the best of my ability.
